EZLock - The Automatic Wheelchair Van Dock
The EZLock wheelchair docking system have been helping thousands to experience
independence since 1986. It is built with the same goals in mind as the AMS Handicap Conversion:
to be safe, simple, and strong. The system allows a person to drive from their wheelchair,
or to ride along as a passenger.
All that is necessary to securely lock the wheelchair to the floor of the vehicle is
to simply drive it into the docking base. The base is designed to help guide the wheelchair
into position with minimal difficulty, and once the wheel chair is positioned and locked,
state of the art electronics monitor the positioning and status of the base for your safety.
Vehicle mounted seatbelts are necessary for complete wheelchair occupant safety.
Once the destination has been reached, all you need to do is push a button and the wheelchair
will be released electronically. In case of emergency, a manual release is also provided.
The EZLock system has been crash-tested by independent testing facilities to the 30mph/
20G standard. This is in addition to our ongoing in-house testing performed at the factory.
Every EZLock system has consistently met or exceeded the requirements of this rigorous
testing.
