The Whole Price Picture
From manufacturer to manufacturer, there is a variation in the pricing on the
conversion. The AMS Vans Conversion forgoes "features" that sometimes have a
tendency to malfunction. Have you heard of the 80/20 concept? We have implemented
this concept by eliminating 20% of the features that cause 80% of the problems
with wheelchair accessible vans. What that means to you as a customer is this,
AMS never installs a kneel system that lowers the van and we only include a power
door if the van comes stock with one from Chrysler.
Here's a great test to see how trust worthy your local Mobility Dealer or Adaptive
Mobility Equipment installer is. Just ask them which items tend to malfunction more
than any other feature on an accessible conversion van.
With the majority of people utilizing power wheelchairs and scooters in today's
society the need for a van to kneel has been minimized. Keeping this in mind AMS
strengthened the suspension system and added a few extra inches to the length of
the ramp. The result: Substantial savings, a stronger, more reliable vehicle, and
disabled transportation that is much simpler to maintain.
